Privacy policy

The plain-English version is below. The guiding principle: we collect the bare minimum needed to run the site and keep it useful — no third-party tracking we don't disclose, no reselling of data, no behaviour-based profiling for advertising.

What we collect

Anonymous reaction counts. When you press 👍 or 👎 on an article or guide, we record a hashed identifier (a SHA-256 of your IP + user-agent + daily salt) along with your vote. The hash rotates every 24 hours, so the same hash can't be linked from one day to the next. We never store your raw IP or user-agent.

Standard server logs. Our Cloudflare edge keeps access logs (IP, timestamp, URL) for 7 days to prevent abuse. These are not exported to any analytics platform.

Affiliate click-through tracking. When you click a casino CTA, we generate a referral ID so the operator can attribute the sign-up. We don't receive any personal data back from operators in this flow — only aggregate sign-up counts.

What we don't collect

No third-party analytics scripts (no Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, no Hotjar). No advertising cookies. No behaviour-based profiling. No data sold to third parties. No cross-site tracking beacons.

If you don't sign up for anything — and Black-Jack.team has no sign-up mechanism — we have no way to identify you across sessions beyond the same-day anonymous reaction hash.

Data retention

Do you use cookies?
We use one essential cookie for your language preference (`blackjack_locale`). That's it. No tracking cookies, no marketing cookies, no third-party cookies — the cookie banner you see on your first visit only asks about that one essential cookie.
Can I request deletion of my data?
Yes — email privacy@black-jack.team with your request. Keep in mind that we don't have user accounts, so 'your data' is limited to the items listed above. We'll confirm deletion within 30 days.
Are you GDPR / CCPA compliant?
Yes. We process data on the lawful basis of legitimate interest (running the site) and consent (for anything else). You have the right to access, correct and delete your data under both regulations.
